Improve access to undergraduate research opportunities with your energy, creativity and enthusiasm and serve as the founding director of a new office for undergraduate research tentatively called the Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Hub, located in the Ablah Library. It seeks a tenured faculty member to support the hub’s inauguration in a 0.5 director role. Some work may begin in summer 2024.
The position will provide overall strategic management in the areas of policy development, program management, financial management and fund raising, data reporting and evaluation, and staffing. It will also:
- Lead and manage with a primary mission to serve students, faculty and administrators as a resource and coordinated source of information about undergraduate research on campus and beyond.
- Evaluate needs and deliver services to students and faculty.
- Seek external funding.
- Develop and implement long-term strategies to increase the accessibility and visibility of this office as the hub of information and advising for undergraduate research and related opportunities.
Strong communication is required for effective collaboration with internal and external constituents at all levels. If you are a researcher at heart but also love supporting the academic community, students and faculty in their ongoing development, this could be the next opportunity for you.
