A section of Lot 5, the parking lot near Corbin Education Center, will be closed late in the evening on Thursday, Sept. 12 for construction at Wilkins Stadium. The noted area will need to be completely cleared out the following Friday.

The closure is expected to last through March 2025. Students that typically park in this lot may need to park in other lots, based on their ePermit type, at this time. Reminder that The YMCA lot is only available for those actively using the facility and is limited to two hours, misuse could result in a citation.

All of Lot 1, the lot along Hillside Street, will close the evening of Friday, Sept. 13 for an event on Sunday. All vehicles must leave the lot at this time. The lot is anticipated to reopen late Sunday.

Lot 2W, the parking lot near Charles Koch Arena, will be closed Friday, Sept. 13 for the Shocker State Fair. The lot need to be completely clear for this closure. Students, faculty and staff who typically park in this lot will need to park elsewhere at this time.

Due to the nature of this event ADA stalls in this lot will not be available during this time.

If you’ve not already done so, you will need to obtain a parking ePermit if you plan to park on campus during enforcement hours. Enforcement hours in standard parking lots run 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Enforcement at the YMCA, parking garages, timed and other reserved and restricted zones is in effect at all times.

You can buy your ePermit in your parking portal or in-person at Parking Services (in-person payment is cash or check only). If you cannot login to your parking portal, contact the parking office at wsuparking@wichita.edu or 316-978-5526.

A portion of Lot 5, the parking lot along 21st Street between Corbin Education Center and Eck Stadium, will be closed Wednesday, Aug. 28 for the Career Connection Root Beer Kegger event that day. Shocker Hall residents and students that typically park in this lot will need to park in other lots based on their ePermit type during this time. The YMCA lot is not available for general parking and could result in a citation.

The purpose of lot reservations is to help accommodate large groups of guests visiting campus for events. Lot reservations are not to be used for WSU affiliates. Remember, visitors to campus can park without an ePermit up to three times each semester.

Red reserved and ADA stalls are not subject to lot closures and proper use is permitted during this time.

Lots 3N and 11, the parking lots near Cessna Stadium and Devlin Hall, will be closed Friday, Aug. 23 for Clash of the Colleges. The lots need to be completely clear for this closure. Students, faculty and staff that typically park in these lots will need to park elsewhere at this time.

Due to the nature of this event red reserved and ADA stalls will not be available during this time.

All of lot 41, the parking lot near Woolsey Hall, will be closed Thursday, Aug. 15 for an event in the building. It will also be partially closed for another event on Friday, Aug. 16. Faculty and staff that typically park in this lot will need to park in other yellow lots at this time. The YMCA lot is not available for faculty, staff or event guest parking and could result in a citation.

Lot 7 and the parking garage south of the Rhatigan Student Center will be closed Saturday, Aug. 17 for the NXT LVL Garage Party set up and event. Limited access to Lot 7 will be available during the day for Shocker Store customers until 2 p.m., after 2 p.m. all vehicles must be removed from the lot. The garage will be closed all day, all vehicles will need to vacate the garage on Friday evening.

Due to the nature of this event, red reserved and ADA stalls are subject to this lot closure.

Mike Oatman Drive, North Yale Avenue and some sections of North Campus Drive and Perimeter Road will be closed for restriping Wednesday, Aug. 14, weather permitting.
