There will be limited parking in the garage and Lot 7, the parking lot just south of the RSC, Friday, Aug. 18 for the NXT Level Garage Party.

Red stall owners will be allowed to park in their stalls like normal until 5 p.m. Parking will also be available on level two of the garage and in lot 7 until 5 p.m. Faculty and staff who typically park on level 4 with their ePermit are welcome to park on level 2 with their ePermit this day only. Parking on levels 3 and 4 will not be available.

The full garage and Lot 7 will close for the event at 5 p.m. and will remain closed through the weekend. Normal garage usage will begin again Monday, Aug. 21, with a small number of stalls on level 4 staying blocked off during the day Monday.

Graphics of the different parking signage at parking lots

Wichita State posts signs at every parking lot on campus to help you find where to park.

The signs feature big block letters and colors: “V” and white for visitors; “S” and green for students; and “F” and yellow for faculty and staff. Reserved lots and parking spaces are marked with red signage.

ePermits can be purchased online and are required to park in student, faculty and staff parking lots while school is in session during the enforcement period from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors may park without an ePermit three times each semester before an ePermit is required.

And check out the interactive campus map to find parking lots. Simply select “Parking and Transportation” from the navigation menu and choose the type of parking you’re looking for.

Lots 3N, 3S and 11 near Cessna Stadium will reopen in time for the fall semester. The construction fence will remain in place, however the gates will be open for lot use.

Lots 3S and 11 will continue serving as yellow faculty/staff lots and Lot 3N as a green student lot. These lots will be available for use until approximately Thanksgiving Break, when they will close again for the next phase of construction work on Cessna Stadium.

Additional parking for both faculty/staff and students in this area is available in Lot 34, located north of 21st Street at Yale Avenue.

Perimeter Road from Alumni Drive on the northside of Lot 16N to Yale Avenue will allow for eastbound traffic only from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12 and Sunday, Aug. 13.

No westbound traffic will be allowed on this stretch of Perimeter. This is to assist those currently moving into Shocker Hall by allowing students and their families to temporarily park along Perimeter to unload their vehicles.

No parking or traffic of any kind will be permitted in the lot during this time.

The parking lot outside Woolsey Hall, Lot 41, and part of the parking lot east of Ablah Library, Lot 13, will be closed all day Tuesday, July 18 to accommodate guests visiting campus for the SBIR Road Map Tour at Woolsey Hall.

ADA spaces are always open outside of lot reservations.

Facility Services will begin restriping road markings, including centerlines, arrows and parking spots, starting Monday, July 17. Work is expected to last until Friday, July 21.

Parking will be unavailable in front of Shocker Hall on Perimeter Road during this time to establish a fire lane.

Lot 41, the parking lot near Woolsey Hall, will be closed from Monday, June 19 to Friday, June 23 for multiple events, including the Aerospace Structural Impact Dynamics International Conference.
