The Wichita State AmeriCorps program has nearly two dozen service opportunities available for students in May and June. The positions include a variety of tasks and students can earn a stipend and qualify for an $2,000 WSU scholarship.

The service positions include teaching children to read, helping with local community gardens, assisting with a variety of office tasks, coordinating volunteers, writing grants for nonprofits, and various other tasks.

The Ulrich Museum of Art is accepting applications from Wichita State students for its paid internship program until April 25. The  three internships programs offers students valuable experience in the everyday workings of a university art museum. Students from any level or area of study are encouraged to apply. 

Ulrich internships offer students interdisciplinary experiential learning that is informative on both intellectual and practical levels. Tasks may include assisting with research for exhibitions, handling and documenting works of art, helping with publicity, participating in exhibition installations, working on public programs and events, and giving exhibition tours.

The three internships offered during the 2022-2023 academic year are supported by the Stev Overstreet Ulrich Museum of Art Internship Fund and The Kouri Assistantship Endowment.

The Shocker Career Accelerator would like to share summer 2022 job opportunities with Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central Kansas. Through these roles, students will assist with the supervision and promotion of activities and programs after school or during the summer program for children and youth.

The W. Frank Barton School of Business has two available opportunities for senior educators in the Finance, Real Estate, and Decision Sciences Department.

One position is focused on the instruction for MIS courses, and one will focus on the instruction for business analytics courses. Each role is a full-time, nine-month position and teaches four courses each semester.

  • Facility attendant, entry-level position
  • Guest services assistant with a minimum of three months working in a similar position — customer service, answering phone calls, cash register knowledge, and detail-oriented.
