Fairmount College is seeking a business manager for its dean’s office. The position works in partnership with the dean for strategic financial planning regarding the college’s state, restricted use and Foundation funds.

Knowledge, skills and abilities required for the position:

  • Understanding and navigating college budget operations.
  • Creating and using spreadsheet and database programming.
  • Managing billing, purchasing and travel operations.
  • Managing Foundation account budget operations.
  • Researching SRO funds, start up budgets and lab issues.
  • Strong human relations skills, including oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to successfully work in a diverse team environment.
  • Able to learn and utilize digital budgeting and related business management systems.

The WSU Community Engagement Institute is currently accepting applications for a public health program specialist for its Center for Public Health Initiatives (CPHI).

As the program specialist for the CPHI, the position will lean on the applicant’s previous experience to help build healthy communities in the state by supporting programs that impact the health of the community, which could include supporting health coalitions, community health workers and improved services of local health departments.

This role focuses on making change at the system level, so this is an opportunity for someone who has the steadfastness to see a project through from start to finish. The work will also facilitate the collaboration between state, public health and local health departments to improve systems and strengthen the workforce.

The College of Health Professions dean’s office is seeking applicants for its budget and accounting specialist position. 

The budget and accounting specialist will be responsible for the dean’s office day-to-day budget and financial activity, including reconciliation of financial statements, purchasing and accounts payable, and record keeping for lecturer and graduate teaching assistant positions in the college. The position is also responsible for maintaining currency with the university policy and processes which impact budget and financial operations, changes in the Human Resources systems, and providing direct support and training for CHP personnel who are responsible for budget, finance and personnel work within their units.
