WSU Community Engagement Institute is hiring public health specialist

The WSU Community Engagement Institute is currently accepting applications for a public health program specialist for its Center for Public Health Initiatives (CPHI).

As the program specialist for the CPHI, the position will lean on the applicant’s previous experience to help build healthy communities in the state by supporting programs that impact the health of the community, which could include supporting health coalitions, community health workers and improved services of local health departments.

This role focuses on making change at the system level, so this is an opportunity for someone who has the steadfastness to see a project through from start to finish. The work will also facilitate the collaboration between state, public health and local health departments to improve systems and strengthen the workforce.
