The Honors College Faculty Council invites the campus community to a virtual event to learn more about faculty work in the Dorothy and Bill Cohen Honors College 3:30-5 p.m. May 13 via Zoom.

This year’s Honors Faculty Fellows will present updates on their projects. There will be an opportunity for questions, to share ideas, and a discussion of potential members for future faculty fellows.

This Saturday is your last chance to view the current exhibitions at the Ulrich Museum of Art on the Wichita State University campus. From the Civil Rights-era photographs of Gordon Parks, to the latest works by faculty artists, an exhibition based on memories from the Shocker community, and one inspired by Haitian voodoo culture, the current shows have something for everyone. But you’ll have to see them soon because they’re gone after Saturday. The Ulrich Museum is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Admission is free.

Wichita State’s School of Performing Arts will host a virtual event featuring a playlist of projects created by students during the pandemic 8 a.m. to midnight May 15-16 via YouTube. The projects will include dance, musical theater and theater. The event will also include the premiere of the dance film “She Moved the Prairie.”

Literary Feast is KMUW’s monthly book club featuring selections made by the KMUW staff. National Public Radio turns 50 years old this month, and KMUW is celebrating with a special Literary Feast selection and in-person gathering at 6 p.m. May 19 at Public at the Brickyard. May’s selection is “Susan, Linda, Nina & Cokie: The Extraordinary Story of the Founding Mothers” of NPR by Lisa Napoli. Tickets are $15 and include a buffet dinner. Space is limited to 20 attendees.

This is a short course (only 21 minutes!) but it goes over the theory of infographics and gives basic design tips. This is a great session to pair up with the sessions for today!   • OLC Conference Recorded Session Suggestion #2: Creative Strategies for Equitable Engagement in Online Classes with Tazin Daniels, consultant for Coach at the Pedagologist.
