Beginning Monday, March 16, construction crews will begin installing temporary fencing in preparation for the phase one ADA renovation of the CAC Theatre. The fencing will be limited to the construction area, and all surrounding walkways will remain open for pedestrian access. The project is expected to be completed by the end of May 2026.

Beginning Monday, March 16, construction crews will begin installing the temporary construction fence in preparation for the construction of the new softball team operations building located south of the Wilkins Indoor Softball Practice Facility. The fencing will enclose the construction site and extend into a portion of the parking lot south of Wilkins Stadium. The project is anticipated to be completed in early 2027.

Faculty/staff who typically park in Lot 15 will be allowed to park in Lot 19W while the project is being completed.

For the Saturday, March 7 Shocker men’s basketball game, a number of lots in the vicinity of Charles Koch Arena will be reserved for Shocker Athletic Scholarship Organization parking beginning at noon. During this time, signage will be in place alerting drivers of the impending lot assignment changes.

Anyone previously parked in these lots will need to move their cars by noon. Any unauthorized parking in a game day lot carries a $50 citation fine.

Because Jardine Hall will be closed for electrical switchgear upgrades during spring break, student‑serving offices will offer services remotely or from temporary locations March 16-20 as follows:

  • Graduate School and Graduate Admissions staff will be working remotely during spring break and will not be available in person. Staff can be reached directly through their email for general questions. Email wsugradschool@wichita.edu and someone will respond as soon as possible.
  • The Office of the Registrar will be available by email and will be responding to tickets during spring break. While in person services such as diplomas and paper transcripts will pause for the week, students can request electronic transcripts and access enrollment verifications through the National Student Clearinghouse. Registrar’s Office Staff can be reached at 316-978-3055 or by email using the Registrar staff directory.
  • The Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships will offer virtual appointments through Navigate and limited in person financial aid advising at their temporary OneStop location in the Shocker Success Center. Students can reach the office at 316‑978‑3430 or by email at finaid@wichita.edu.
  • The Accounts Receivable/Student Accounts office will relocate to OneStop in 105 Shocker Success Center during spring break. Hours will remain 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and assistance is available at 316-978-3333 or wsuaccountsreceivable@wichita.edu.
  • The Office of Modern & Classical Languages and Literatures will be available by email during spring break. Contact Rocio Del Aguila at rocio.delaguila@wichita.edu or Melissa Ellenz at melissa.ellenz@wichita.edu for assistance.

Beginning Saturday, March 14, Jardine Hall will be without power as the electrical service is updated. The building will be closed over spring break as work is completed. Normal operations are expected to begin Monday, March 23.

Work on Ahlberg Hall has been delayed, and the building will remain open during spring break. Work is expected to be conducted over the summer.

Student Outreach & Support will be closed the morning of Thursday, Feb. 26 for professional development. The office will reopen after lunch.

For the Saturday, Feb. 21 Shocker men’s basketball game, a number of lots in the vicinity of Charles Koch Arena will be reserved for Shocker Athletic Scholarship Organization parking beginning at 2 p.m. During this time, signage will be in place alerting drivers of the impending lot assignment changes.

Anyone previously parked in these lots will need to move their cars by 2 p.m. Any unauthorized parking in a game day lot carries a $50 citation fine.

WSU Reporting will be undergo scheduled maintenance from 4 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 21.

During this maintenance window, the reporting system will be unavailable. This outage is necessary to perform system updates.

For the Saturday, Feb. 14 Shocker men’s basketball game, a number of lots in the vicinity of Charles Koch Arena will be reserved for Shocker Athletic Scholarship Organization parking beginning at 3 p.m. During this time, signage will be in place alerting drivers of the impending lot assignment changes.

Anyone previously parked in these lots will need to move their cars by 3:30 p.m. Any unauthorized parking in a game day lot carries a $50 citation fine.
