Equipment movement will impact some street and sidewalk access near McKinley Hall and Jabara Hall Wednesday, Oct. 21. Note that the times and durations may fluctuate should obstacles arise during the moving process:

• 9-10 a.m.: North Isley Lane (the street between McKinley Hall and the CAC Theater) will be temporarily closed to remove a large piece of equipment from McKinley Hall. Campus can utilize the east sidewalk of North Isley Lane by the CAC Theater during this time.
• 11 a.m.-noon: The north and northeast entrances of Jabara Hall will be unavailable as the equipment is moved in. Campus can utilize the south entrance during this time.

Human Resources will be closed from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday. Oct. 22 to attend training. If you have any questions, email hr.servicecenter@wichita.edu.

Lot 35S, the parking lot near the John Bardo Center, will be closed Saturday, Oct. 17 for the Student Activities Council Trunk or Treat event. Students, faculty and staff who typically park in this lot will need to park in other lots as allowed by their ePermit during this time.

The purpose of lot reservations is to help accommodate large groups of guests visiting campus for events or the event itself. Lot reservations are not to be used for WSU affiliates. Remember, visitors to campus can park without an ePermit up to three times each semester.

Red reserved and ADA stalls are not subject to lot closures, and proper use is permitted during this time.

Facilities has temporarily shut off water access to Lindquist Hall, Grace Wilkie Hall and Grace Wilkie Annex for the morning of Monday, Oct. 12 to replace a main water valve. Water is expected to be back on by 10 a.m.

Lot 2W, the parking lot near Charles Koch Arena, will be closed Wednesday, Oct. 14 for an event in the building. Students, faculty and staff who typically park in this lot will need to park in other lots as allowed by their ePermit during this time.

Lot 41, the parking lot near Woolsey Hall, and a portion of Lot 13, the parking lot near Wichita State Connect, will be closed Sunday, Oct. 11 through Tuesday, Oct. 13 for an event at Woolsey Hall. Faculty and staff who typically park in these lots will need to park in other yellow lots. The YMCA lot is not available for faculty, staff or event guest parking and could result in a citation.

Office of Student Accommodations and Testing (OSAT) will be closed on the following dates:

• 1:45 to 3:45 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15 for a staff meeting
• 1:45 to 3:45 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6 for a staff event
• 1:45 to 3:45 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19 for a staff meeting
• All day Nov. 26 and 27 for Thanksgiving Break
• 1:45 to 3:45 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17 for a staff meeting

In accordance with WSU’s winter break, OSAT will be closed from Dec. 19 through Jan. 3, 2027.

Note: OSAT will be closed during the posted times. On dates it is closed for a meeting or event, OSAT will be in the office and open for testing before and after the posted closure times.

A portion of the sidewalk south of the Engineering Building will be closed from the evening of Friday, Oct. 9 through Tuesday, Oct. 13 to install a hydronic line.

In addition, power to both the Geology Building and Engineering Building will be shut down Oct. 12-13 for the replacement of a breaker panel.

To minimize disruption to campus operations, all work is scheduled to be completed during fall break.

A portion of Lot 24, the parking lot along 17th Street, will be closed Friday, Oct. 9 for an event in the Rhatigan Student Center. Faculty, staff and students that typically park in this lot may need to park in other lots as allowed by their ePermit.

The Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing in Morrison Hall will be closed for staff development Thursday, Oct. 8. The office will reopen at 8 a.m. Friday, Oct. 9.
