UReCA’s Connect Database service will be closed for the winter break starting Dec. 8. Responses will still be accepted, but UReCA will not make connections between faculty and students until Jan. 20, 2026.

The Human Resources office will be closed from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10 for team building and will resume normal business hours Thursday, Dec. 11. The IDP HR Office will remain open.

The Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships will be closed Friday, Dec. 5 for staff development. If you have any urgent questions, call 316-978-3430.

Lot 41, the parking lot near Woolsey Hall, will be closed Thursday, Dec. 4 for multiple events. Faculty and staff that typically park in this lot will need to park in other yellow lots in the area of the building. The YMCA lot is not available for faculty, staff or event guest parking and could result in a citation.

The purpose of lot reservations is to help accommodate large groups of guests visiting campus for events or the event itself. Lot reservations are not to be used for WSU affiliates. Remember, visitors to campus can park without an ePermit up to three times each semester.

Red reserved and ADA stalls are not subject to lot closures and proper use is permitted during this time.

Parking Services staff is in the final stages of a parking enforcement software transition from NuPark to Flex. The current software, NuPark, will be discontinued at 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4. The NuPark parking portal will not be available beyond then, and the new Flex parking portal will be available starting Wednesday, Dec. 10.

No ePermit sales or citation payments will be available for processing during the transition time. Parking Services encourages everyone to log in to the new Flex portal when available to make sure their vehicle, ePermit and contact information look correct.

Due to this software transition, the Parking Services office will be closed all day Friday, Dec. 5.

As a reminder, holiday break enforcement will begin on Dec. 15, opening green student lots for free parking until Jan. 19, 2026. Yellow faculty/staff lots and all other restricted lots/stalls will still be enforced as usual.

The Kiah Duggins Shocker Support Locker is closed Monday, Dec. 1-5 for Food for Fines and will reopen at 10 a.m. Monday Dec. 8. Now is the perfect time to get your parking citations waived by donating hygiene and nonperishable food items. Here is a quick guide for donating per citation amount:

• $0-$30 tickets – Must donate 10 non-perishable food or hygiene items
• $31-$50 tickets – Must donate 15 non-perishable food or hygiene items

The Facilities Services front office will be closing at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3. In case of an emergency, contact the University Police Department at 316-978-3450.

The Post Office, Promo Solutions and Shocker Printing will close at 2. p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3 and appreciate your understanding and encourage you to plan ahead for any printing or mailing needs.

For the Tuesday, Dec. 2 Shocker men’s basketball game, a number of lots in the vicinity of Charles Koch Arena will be reserved for Shocker Athletic Scholarship Organization parking beginning at 3:30 p.m. During this time, signage will be in place alerting drivers of the impending lot assignment changes.

Anyone previously parked in these lots will need to move their cars by 3:30 p.m. Any unauthorized parking in a game day lot carries a $50 citation fine.

Lot 24 and Lot 25 along 17th Street will be closed Friday, Nov. 21, for the Wallace Invitational for Scholarships in Engineering (WISE) competition. The lots will be reserved for competition participants and guests beginning at 7 a.m. Red reserved and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) stalls will remain open for proper use during this time.

Hosted by the College of Engineering, the WISE competition will take place throughout the day in the Rhatigan Student Center and the John Bardo Center. More information about the annual competition is available at wichita.edu/wise.
