Heavy traffic is expected on levels two, three and four of the Rhatigan Student Center parking garage during the evening on Friday, Oct. 2 for an event in the area. Students, faculty and staff should prepare in advance as they park on campus.

Fairmount Street and a portion of WuShock Drive near the Ulrich Museum of Art will be closed Thursday, Oct. 1 for Shocker Pride. Nationwide. Celebrate the Arts.

N. Isley Lane and Lot 20, near Wilner Auditorium will still be accessible from WuShock Drive. Traffic will reopen by Friday, Oct. 2.

Water to Neff Hall will be temporarily shut off as repairs are made to a struck water line.

The water line to Neff Hall was struck by construction contractors working at the building on Wednesday, Sept. 23, which temporarily caused flooding in the Shocker Success Center basement. Facilities shut off the water flow to Neff Hall and the surrounding buildings to mitigate the flooding.

Water access has since been restored to Ablah Library, Wallace Hall Annex, the Shocker Success Center and the Media Resources Center. The Office of International Education is open, and staff in the Office of Civil Rights, Title IX & ADA Compliance will be working remotely while facilities assesses the space.

Nearby buildings can be utilized at this time. Thank you for your patience.

On Sunday Sept. 27, McKnight Art Center, the Ulrich Museum of Art and Henrion Hall will be closed for a planned electrical outage. Power down any electrical devices you may have in preparation for the outage. Because life safety systems will be inactive, access to the building during the outage is not permitted.

Normal operation will resume Monday Sept. 28. Reach out to Greg Thornwall, Facilities Maintenance, at 316-833-4122 with any questions.

Lot 41, the parking lot near Woolsey Hall, will be closed Wednesday, Sept. 23 and Friday, Sept. 25 for an event in the building. Faculty and staff who typically park in this lot will need to park in other yellow lots. The YMCA lot is not available for faculty, staff or event guest parking and could result in a citation.

The purpose of lot reservations is to help accommodate large groups of guests visiting campus for events or the event itself. Lot reservations are not to be used for WSU affiliates. Remember, visitors to campus can park without an ePermit up to three times each semester.

Red reserved and ADA stalls are not subject to lot closures, and proper use is permitted during this time.

The Shocker Career Accelerator photo booth will be closed Friday, Sept. 18. Regular hours will resume Monday, Sept. 21.

The Shocker Career Accelerator will be closed from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15 while staff host the Engineering and IT Career Fair.

Faculty and staff are encouraged to invite students interested in engineering and information technology careers to attend the fair from 2 to 5 p.m. in the RSC third-floor ballroom. Students can connect with employers recruiting for internships and full-time jobs.

The Shocker Career Accelerator will be closed from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, while the team hosts the Career Connection Root Beer Kegger.

Faculty and staff are encouraged to share the event with students and invite them to attend from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 26 on the east lawn of Hubbard Hall.

Want to offer extra credit? The Shocker Career Accelerator tracks student attendance at the event. Faculty and staff who would like to offer extra credit to a class or student group can send their class list to kim.kufahl@wichita.edu.
