Whether you’re aspiring to become a supervisor, new to supervision or a seasoned leader looking to sharpen your self-awareness, the “Role of a Leader” course, as part of the LevelUp Your Leadership program, offers a practical lens for reflecting on your own management style, identifying your strengths and recognizing where you may have blind spots.

This session explores Henry Mintzberg’s landmark framework for understanding what managers actually do and why it still matters decades after it was first introduced. Through his three core role categories (interpersonal, informational and decisional) Mintzberg cuts through management theory to reveal the ten distinct roles every effective supervisor plays.

You’ll leave with a clearer picture of the full scope of the managerial role and a new vocabulary for talking about the work you do every day.

Go to myTraining and register to attend the course. You can also see and sign up for other LevelUp Your Leadership courses.
