The Tallgrass Film Festival has become a staple in Wichita’s arts community during the past 20 years, engaging audiences with world-class programming in a celebration of cinematic arts. The festival is known for connecting film-savvy audiences with cutting-edge filmmakers from all over the world, providing a unique experience throughout the four-day festival. This year, Wichita State student Corri Newman will be added to the list of distinguished filmmakers who have contributed to the festival’s legacy.

Corri’s short documentary, “Kansas Honor Flight,” was selected to be screened at the 2022 festival, and the news came as a pleasant surprise to Corri.

WSU believes in the importance of creating a safe and healthy environment for all of our community members. To that end, we have partnered with EVERFI to provide the Sexual Harassment and Prevention Training. Completion of this training is required of all degree-seeking students every academic year.

By this point you have received multiple emails from EVERFI that contains a link to the training.  Follow the instructions in the email to access and complete the training.

Please ensure that you have completed the course by Sept. 23, 2022. Failure to complete the training will result in a registration hold being placed on your account.  You will not be able to register for Spring 2023 courses until you have completed the training.

Please contact the Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance at 316-978-5177 or OIEC@wichita.edu if you have any questions or issues accessing the training.

Thank you for your participation, and for helping us to build the best campus possible.

It’s never too late to try new tactics in the classroom and at home to improve learning. Students can quiz themselves or other classmates on class concepts, create questions from assigned readings to ask during class, or join a study group with other motivated students to improve academic performance.
