Building a business can be challenging and costly. Luckily, Wichita State students have access to seed money from the Moral Family Fund for Innovation, which can be used to build and grow a startup venture. Applications close Nov. 18. Apply before it is too late.

The Women for Women Innovation Fund offers up to $5,000 for women who are Wichita State students to build and grow startup businesses. Applications close Nov. 18. Share this opportunity with your students and encourage them to apply before it is too late.

The next Student Health Services Pee for Pizza event will take place noon-4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, at the Student Wellness Center in the Steve Clark YMCA. During the event, participants can get tested for Gonorrhea and Chlamydia by submitting a urine specimen and then receive free pizza.

Co-sponsored by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, Positive Direction and Shocker Sports Grill and Lanes, Pee for Pizza occurs twice month through the fall and spring semesters and is by reservation only. No walk-ins will be accepted.

Join the SEAL office from March 13-18 for an Alternative Spring Break trip in Wilmington, North Carolina. Alternative Breaks invite students to spend time learning about a specific area and then travel to that area over spring break to participate in a series of volunteer activities that complement their studies.

The trip cost this year is $210 and covers airfare, food, lodging and all program costs. Students must fill out an application and be selected to join the program.
