Interested in learning how to knit while creating your own headband? The Threads Club is hosting Fiber Night at 6 p.m. Friday, April 19, where attendees can socialize with other fiber artists of all levels.

The event is available for the first 15 people who RSVP. Materials and refreshments will be provided for those who RSVP.

Wichita State University Shocker Gaming Club

The Shocker Gaming Club (SGC) is hosting a Street Fighter tournament from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Thursday, April 18 at the Heskett Center Esports Hub. Come try your luck and show off your fighting skills.

The entry fee is only $3 at the door and is first-come-first-served. Sign-ups are from 5:30 to 6 p.m. on the day of the tournament.

  • Warm-ups will run from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
  • The tournament starts at 6:30 p.m.
  • Bring your own PS5 controllers, provided controllers will be limited.

The Arab Student Association will host a game show-like event from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, April 20 in 141 Woolsey Hall.

Anyone who is interested in Arab culture is more than welcome to join. There will be eight teams of four competing on their knowledge of Arab culture, and the winners will receive prizes on top of raffles and catering from Bella Luna Cafe.

Join Students for Justice in Palestine from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 11 in 257 Rhatigan Student Center, Ashton/Bridges Room, to learn about Palestinian history and its people through a short lecture, interactive activities and displayed art and history.

Join First Generation Student Organization (FGSO) for a mixer hosted by the Graduate Student Council (GSC) from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 4 in the 305/306 Rhatigan Student Center Beggs Ballroom.

Learn more about your options regarding graduate school and meet other students following a similar pathway. The event is a mixer for undergraduate students and graduate students to get to know each other and possibly find mentors while learning about applying to grad school.

Join the Student Veterans Organization for an unforgettable evening of excitement, camaraderie and the thrill of the win at Bingo Night from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 26 in 240 Rhatigan Student Center, Mayfield Room.

Get your dabbers ready and mark your calendars for an evening filled with anticipation and fun. Food and prizes will also be available while they last. 

Hungry and want to support a good cause? The WSU Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association’s (WSUSSLHA) annual fundraiser can satisfy both cravings.

The Muslim Students Association, in collaboration with Pakistani Student Association, invites the campus community to the Ramadan Iftar Banquet of 2024 starting at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 24 in the Hughes Metropolitan Complex, room 180.

An event where attendees learn about the significance of the month of Ramadan and the Islamic practice of fasting from sunrise to sunset. Michael Barton, principal of Annoor Islamic School, will be the keynote speaker during this event, sharing his insights on Ramadan.

Tickets are $10 per student and $50 for faculty and families.
