Kick off the blackout game against Memphis at the pregame student tailgate event featuring pizza, soda and a T-shirt for the first 300 students. The event begins at 4:15 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23 inside Charles Koch Arena at the Aetna Multipurpose Center practice facility.

There are also rumors of a very special celebrity guest potentially making an appearance at the tailgate, so keep an eye on the Shock Block Twitter and the Shock Block Instagram pages for more details coming soon.

Admission to the tailgate event is open to all students, but students must have a ticket to the game. Tickets are available for pickup at no additional charge to students with a Shocker ID at the Shocker Ticket Office, Rhatigan Student Center Shocker Store, Braeburn Square Shocker Store, Heskett Center, Shocker Hall, Shocker Suites, or WSU South and West Campuses.

On Feb. 2, the Shocker Bowling men’s and women’s teams were invited to the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Collegiate Championships, where the top six teams in the nation competed for a chance to bowl on a PBA telecast.

The Shocker men and women both qualified for the finals, which were taped and will air this weekend on Fox Sports 1. Tune in at 12 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19 to watch both Shocker Bowling teams compete for the PBA Collegiate Championship trophy.

Shocker Rowing is excited to report the success of the recent annual Shocker Sprints event that was held on Feb. 11. The event had an outstanding turnout with participants from 15 different clubs as well as 125 individual competitors.

The Shocker Sprints event is an annual indoor rowing competition that brings together some of the most talented and dedicated athletes from across the region. It is an excellent opportunity for these athletes to showcase their skills and compete against some of the best rowers in the area.

This year’s results are now available to view. The website gives access to all of the information about the event, including the final results, as well as details about the individual competitors and the clubs they represented.

Shocker Rowing congratulates all of the participants in this year’s Shocker Sprints event for their hard work and dedication. It hopes that everyone who attended the event had an enjoyable and rewarding experience, and it looks forward to seeing everyone again next year.

Shocker Women's Basketball Play4Kay Game; February 15th at 6pm vs Tulsa

Join women’s basketball at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15 in Charles Koch Arena against rival Tulsa in the annual Play4Kay cancer awareness game.

Wear pink to show support as the Shockers honor survivors and their families throughout the game and be one of the first 500 fans to receive a pink pompom. Plus, enjoy the fan zone on the concourse featuring a pink-themed photo booth and certified therapy dogs.

Wichita State Basketball Student Tickets Available Now; Shockers vs South Florida

Student tickets to the men’s basketball game versus South Florida at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 5 are available for pickup.

Tickets are available at no additional charge to university students with a Shocker ID at any of the following locations:

  • Charles Koch Arena Ticket Office.
  • Rhatigan Student Center Shocker Store.
  • Braeburn Square Shocker Store.
  • Heskett Center.
  • Shocker Hall.
  • Shocker Suites.
  • Wichita State South and West Campuses.

All up-to-date, tuition and student fee paying students of WSU can purchase up to two guest tickets at $15 each, on top of their student ticket.
