Wichita Transit bus routes will be closed Monday, May 26 for Memorial Day. Bus routes will resume normal operations Tuesday, May 27.

Lot 41, the parking lot near Woolsey Hall, will be closed part of Tuesday, May 20 and Thursday, May 22 for events in the building and is scheduled to reopen in the early afternoon on both days. Faculty and staff that typically park in this lot will need to park in other yellow lots in the area of the building. The YMCA lot is not available for faculty, staff or event guest parking and could result in a citation.

WSU will host participants and attendees for state baseball, state softball and state track events starting Thursday, May 29 through Saturday, May 31. These events bring a large amount of visitors to campus and parking will be congested across campus.

Additionally the 2025 Master Gardener Tour will take place near the President’s Residence and Woolsey Hall starting Friday, May 30 through Sunday, June 1. Attendance is expected to be high for this event as well.

Faculty, staff, students and partners are encouraged to plan accordingly and arrive early if they come to campus during this time frame. Summer parking will be in effect at this time; unless noted with signage, all green lots will be free and open parking.

A section of Lot 5, located on 21st Street between Corbin Education Center and Eck Stadium, will be closed on Saturday, April 26 for fireworks following the softball game. Because of the nature of the event, all vehicles must be removed from the lot. Students who usually park here may need to find alternative parking in nearby lots.

The YMCA lot is not available for parking unless you are actively using the facility; if so, parking is limited to two hours.
