Beginning at noon on Saturday, Jan. 14, a number of parking lots in the vicinity of Koch Arena will be reserved for Shocker Athletic Scholarship Organization to park during the men’s basketball game. Signage will be in place alerting drivers of the impending lot assignment changes. Anyone previously parked in these lots will need to move their cars at that time. Unauthorized parking in a game day lot carries a $50 citation fine.

Beginning at 5 p.m. Jan. 25, WSU men’s basketball game, a number of lots in the vicinity of Koch Arena will be reserved for Shocker Athletic Scholarship Organization parking. Signage will be in place alerting drivers of the impending lot assignment changes. Anyone previously parked in these lots will need to move their vehicles at that time. Unauthorized parking in a game day lot carries a $50 citation fine.

There will be a couple of parking lot closures on Friday, Nov. 18:

  • Woolsey Hall’s lot will be closed from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for the AGH Scholarship Competition.
  • Parking lot 16S outside of Duerksen Fine Arts Center — to the southwest of the building — will be closed from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the College of Engineering’s annual WISE scholarship competition.

Parking at the YMCA is limited to two hours and is only for those who are currently using the YMCA. You can be cited if you are parked there for longer than two hours or if you are seen parking in the lot and walking away from the YMCA. Student parking is available in the area in lots 4, 5, 19W and 19E.

The Wichita State campus will be home to the 2022 Pumpkin Run on Saturday, Oct. 22. To. make room for this event and its participants, there will be several changes to driving on campus, parking, and Wichita Transit bus routes.

  • There will be road closures Saturday, Oct. 22 morning due to the Pumpkin Run. The campus will only be accessible through the south entrances.
  • Parking lots three and 11 will be closed after 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21 until after the Pumpkin Run. To help ensure the safety of the runners, please remove your vehicle and do not park in these lots during this scheduled timeframe.
  • Wichita Transit bus routes will not stop on campus between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22. During this time, the buses will continue north on Hillside to 21st Street outbound and 21st Street to Hillside Street inbound to the Transit Center. The buses will return to the regular route at 2 p.m. Please reference the Wichita Transit schedule for more information.

Starting on Nov. 1, Parking Services will be offering validation codes for departments, groups and outside entities to use in the parking garage when they have guests come to campus.

Code usage will be checked after your event or once a month and be billed or invoiced accordingly, depending on the type of code you request.

Cost to use the garage is $1.50 per hour, per vehicle. 

Wichita Transit bus routes will not stop on campus Saturday, Oct. 14, due to crosswalk painting. During this time, the buses will continue north on Hillside to 21st Street outbound and 21st Street to Hillside Street inbound to the Transit Center.
