Students who want to receive their diploma in the mail can do so through myWSU. Once logged in, click the myClasses tab, locate the Graduation Links section, click Request for Diploma Mailing and submit your shipping and payment information.

Are you graduating in December? Now through Dec. 2, students can bundle their regalia items and save. The Shocker Store offers regalia bundles for bachelor’s, master’s, specialist and doctorate degrees.

To order, visit the Rhatigan Student Center store or select the graduation tab at shockerstore.com for specific pricing and details.

The fall 2022 Commencement Ceremony will take place at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, at Charles Koch Arena. All graduates intending to walk in the ceremony must file their application for degree (AFD) by Oct. 1.

An RSVP email will go out to all students with an AFD on file Monday, Oct. 10. For more information, visit Wichita State’s Commencement FAQ page.

Graduating students, if you are a member of any of the listed groups below and would like to order the group’s corresponding graduation stole, pre-orders must be completed by Oct. 14 at the online Shocker Store.

Groups included the following:

• Shocker Bowling
• Japanese Culture Association
• University Innovation Fellows
• Medical Laboratory Sciences
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Student Organization of Social Work (SOSW)

More than 2,400 students were eligible to participate in the 124th spring commencement ceremonies at Wichita State University in May.

Undergraduate and graduate degrees were conferred for the following colleges within WSU:

• Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
• College of Fine Arts
• Dorothy and Bill Cohen Honors College
• College of Innovation and Design
• College of Applied Studies
• College of Health Professions
• W. Frank Barton School of Business
• College of Engineering

FIRST Generation Coordinating Council and First-Generation Student Organization will distribute free gold and white cords for first-generation graduates to wear at the May 14 commencement ceremony.  at the following times and dates at the Ablah Library Circulation Desk:

• 7:30 a.m.-10 p.m. May 9-12
• 8 a.m.-5 p.m. May 13

Invitations have already been sent to first-gen students who applied for their degrees. Students must present their Shocker ID to receive the cord.

Spring and summer 2022 first-generation students can get a free gold and white braided cord 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, April 27 at the Rhatigan Student Center (Room 313). The cord is provided by the  F1RST Generation Coordinating Council and the F1RST Generation Student Organization to acknowledge those who are the first in their family to graduate with a four-year degree.

To get the cord, students must show their WSU ID. For more information, contact FGshockers@wichita.edu.

All spring and summer 2022 eligible graduates must RSVP for commencement by April 15. Spring 2022 Commencement will take place Saturday, May 14. Students with an application for degree on file should have received an email from Marching Order instructing them how to RSVP.

The Shocker Store is taking regalia rental orders from faculty and staff members who are planning on attending the spring 2022 commencement. The deadline to place your order is Friday, April 8.
