Get ready to mash, bake and fry your way through the Potato Palooza from 8 to 10 p.m. Thursday, April 17 in the Rhatigan Student Center with the Student Activities Council (SAC). The tater takeover includes a potato bar, DJ, sack race, bingo and many more potato themed activities. Raffle prizes include an air fryer, 23″ TV, electric scooter and more.

Get ready for an unforgettable night at the 15th annual Drag Show from 8 to 10 p.m. Friday, April 4 at the Hughes Metropolitan Complex. The 1950s themed expressive performance will be hosted by headliner Loosey Laduca of the 15th season of RuPaul’s Drag Race. With a lineup of local and regional drag talent, expect to see multiple performances, 50s-inspired fashion and plenty of surprises.

Whether you’re a die-hard drag show fan or a newcomer, this is a night you won’t want to miss. So, grab your poodle skirts, leather jackets and be prepared to snap your fingers, tap your feet and shout out for more as we celebrate 15 years of fabulous drag.

Four Wichita State students on the executive board of the Student Activities Council presented at the National Association of Campus Activities Conference in Philadelphia. Their presentation outlined the processes that they took to turn the student organization around and rise event attendance numbers by 97% from fall 2023 to fall 2024.

Beats and Bars, a throwback hip hop event! This event includes wild n/ out style games, a rap battle and free food. Join Student Activities Council and Black Student Union on February 6 in the Rhatigan Student center, Beggs Ballroom from 8pm-10pm.

In celebration of Black History Month, Student Activities Council and Black Student Union have come together to bring campus a throwback hip hop event from 8 to 10 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6 in 305/306 Rhatigan Student Center, Beggs Ballroom.

There will be aux cord battles and a rap battle for a chance to win a prize. Food will be provided for all attendees.

Come out for the Destress Fest “Nightmare on Elm Street” movie night at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4 in the CAC Theater. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Students admission is free, $5 faculty and staff and $8 for general public. The event is organized by the Student Activities Council.

Take a break during De-Stress Fest to relax your mind and body with a free yoga session with YMCA instructors at 8 a.m. Tuesday, April 30 on the Hubbard Hall east lawn.

Get ready to battle it out on the court in SAC’s dodgeball tournament. Groups and individuals will form teams of six to eight people for a night of friendly competition from 7 to 10 p.m. Thursday, April 18 at the Heskett Center. Teams will battle each other in a bracket-style competition until only one remains. The winning team will receive prizes, solidifying them as the SAC Dodgeball Champions.
