Volunteer with Creatures for a Cause

Creatures for a Cause is seeking volunteers from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 9 at the atrium of the RSC. Meals on Wheels of Wichita. Volunteers will meet at Senior Services of Wichita at 10:30am for a brief orientation and guidance on delivering food according to proper social distancing guidelines. The address for the event is 200 S. Walnut, Wichita KS 67213. Volunteers will then be given food and addresses to deliver food. Volunteers must have reliable transportation and the volunteer shift should end by 1:00pm. The dates for this event include September 17th, October 15th, and November 12th. All service events may be cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions released by the university. Volunteers will be notified if the event is cancelled. Join the Community Service Board for a morning of delivering meals with Meals on Wheels. Volunteers will be given instructions about volunteering with addresses and food for delivery. Volunteer times are from  10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Oct. 15 and Nov. 12.

United Way’s GIV program seeks volunteers

The United Way Give Items of Value (GIV) program is seeking volunteers in its efforts to collect items from companies and distribute them to Kansas nonprofits.

The GIV program distributes $400,000 to $1 million worth of donated items each year to more than 100 area nonprofits (including agencies not funded by United Way). GIV partners with Good 360 to obtain donated products from national retailers.

Those who are interested in volunteering for the GIV program should meet at 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 15 and Nov. 5 at the GIV Warehouse. Additional information is available at the link below.
