The Shocker Learning Center is having its annual Fall Open House from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20 in 107 Lindquist Hall.

Come visit to learn about the services it offers, including tutoring, supplemental instruction, study space, Thursday study hall and peer mentoring.

There will be goodies and giveaways whi;e supplies last. All students, faculty and staff are welcome to stop by.

Starting June 5, the Math Lab moved to a shared space with the Shocker Learning Center (SLC) in 107 Lindquist Hall.

The move is only to a new space, and the Math Lab’s in-person, drop-in assistance remains the same and is still available to all students at no additional charge.

The Math Lab offers assistance in the following courses:

  • MATH 012: Intermediate Algebra
  • MATH 111: College Algebra
  • MATH 112: Precalculus Math
  • MATH 123: College Trigonometry
  • MATH 131: Contemporary Math
  • MATH 144: Business Calculus
  • MATH 242: Calculus I
  • STAT 370: Elementary Statistics

No appointments are necessary. For higher level math courses, use the SSC Navigate portal to make a request.

The SLC and Math Lab are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday during the summer semester.

Stop by for assistance with math courses, help with other summer classes or to have a quiet space to do schoolwork.

Due to the summer construction at Lindquist Hall, the Shocker Learning Center (SLC) will temporarily move to Hubbard Hall for the remainder of the summer 2022 session.

The Shocker Learning Center (SLC) will host its Valentine’s Day open house 1-3 p.m. Feb. 14 at Lindquist Hall (Room 107). Learn about all the academic support the SLC offers students including supplemental Instruction, tutoring and peer mentoring. These services, and others, can help you and other WSU students succeed in their classes for the spring semester and beyond.

The event will also include a decorate-it-yourself sugar cookie bar, coffee, lemonade and other SLC goodies and swag.
