Women of WSU will hold its annual membership drive from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3 at the President’s Residence. All women are welcome to join.

In addition to the Membership Drive, WWSU is holding its annual fundraiser, a vintage market featuring items donated by fans, alumni, faculty and staff. The auction is open to everyone. All proceeds raised will be awarded as scholarships to WSU students.

The online silent auction is open until 1:30 pm on October 3.

The Women of WSU (WWSU), a philanthropic organization on campus, is collecting WSU memorabilia for a silent auction Oct. 3 to raise money for WWSU scholarships.

Donated items can include jewelry, presentable clothing and other memorabilia that is at least 10 years or older. Donations can be dropped off through Sept. 25 to Anne Marie Brown in C127 Duerksen Fine Arts Center. Call 316-978-3500 to arrange a drop off time.

The Women of WSU, a philanthropic group that provides scholarships to WSU students annually, is collecting vintage WSU items for a fundraiser to be held in fall 2023.

Clean out closets and donate vintage items (jewelry, memorabilia, clothing, etc.) now through Sept. 25.

The Women of WSU is a campus philanthropic organization, open to faculty and staff, that provides scholarships to students each year. Everyone is invited to bid at the auction or donate directly to the scholarship fund.

This is an annual fundraiser that is open to the public. The auction will be held online.

Active bidding begins at 8 a.m. Monday, April 17 and bidding ends at 10 p.m. Friday, May 5.

Women of Wichita State University (WWSU) is accepting applications for its 2023-24 academic year scholarship.

Preference for the scholarship will be given to enrolled undergraduate or graduate women with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Recipients must be enrolled full-time or part-time in the semesters the receive the scholarship and will be given in regard to financial need. Applications are due by Saturday, April 15.

WWSU was formed in fall 2018 by the combination of the WSU Women’s Association, founded in 1928, and the Council of University Women, founded in 1930. The purpose of the group is to serve the interests of the university, provide student scholarships, and promote social interaction and a sense of community among its members.

The Women of Wichita State University (WWSU ) has awarded four students a $1,000 scholarship for the 2022-2023 academic year. The scholarships will go to the following students:

  • Juliana Botero Echeverri, graduate student in business
  • Maria Aracely Martinez Gonzalez, undergraduate student studying real estate and sports management
  • Hilda Uloma Onuoha, undergraduate student in nursing
  • Meghan Wald, graduate student in special music education.

The Wichita State Wind Ensemble Concert, scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 11, has been canceled. The WSU Symphonic Band will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 15 at the Miller Concert Hall. WSU students may receive one free ticket with their WSU ID.
