The first Faculty Senate meeting for the 2023-24 academic year will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28 in 110A Woolsey Hall. Senators have been sent the meeting information.

The expectation is that all Faculty Senators will attend in person. If a senator needs an exception to attend remotely, contact Lee Ann Birdwell so a link can be requested in advance of the meeting.

Meetings are held the second and fourth Monday of each month.

The Office of Academic Affairs has announced the new members of the emeriti faculty. Please congratulate the following retired faculty:

Emeritus status is an honorary designation conferred upon retirees in recognition of their contributions and accomplishments over their years of service to the university.

The joint Faculty Senate meeting will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, April 10 at the National Center for Aviation Training, 4004 N. Webb Rd. and via Zoom.

University level committee service is an excellent opportunity to participate in shared governance and foster collegiality across colleges. The Rules Committee is in the process of recruiting faculty to serve on various Faculty Senate committees.

To assist the committee, faculty should complete the survey by Friday, April 7 to indicate their level of interest in serving on these committees.
