The first Faculty Senate meeting for the 2023-24 academic year will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28 in 110A Woolsey Hall. Senators have been sent the meeting information.

The expectation is that all Faculty Senators will attend in person. If a senator needs an exception to attend remotely, contact Lee Ann Birdwell so a link can be requested in advance of the meeting.

Meetings are held the second and fourth Monday of each month.

University level committee service is an excellent opportunity to participate in shared governance and foster collegiality across colleges. The Rules Committee is in the process of recruiting faculty to serve on various Faculty Senate committees.

To assist the committee, faculty should complete the survey by Friday, April 7 to indicate their level of interest in serving on these committees.
