Need assistance building your schedule, or just a quiet place to work on it? Sign up in myTraining for the upcoming Schedule Building Open Lab Series. In this series, we will focus on various schedule-building topics and answer your schedule-building questions.

Building in SSASECT: Open Lab — 1-2 p.m. Dec. 8 in 122 Jabara Hall. This open lab will focus on creating, modifying, and deleting CRNs in Banner 9.

New Classroom Feature Request Form: Open Lab — 2-3 p.m. Dec. 12 in 122 Jabara Hall.  This open lab will focus on the process of submitting the New Classroom Feature Request form.

WSU Schedule Building Reports: Open Lab — 0-10 a.m. Dec. 12 in 122 Jabara Hall. This open lab will focus on running the various schedule-building reports such as the schedule of courses, errors, and warnings reports.

New Banner Schedule Builders are invited to attend the upcoming summer 2023 and fall 2023 schedule-building training sessions presented by the University Applications Training and the Registrar’s Office on Dec. 6 and Dec. 7. Both Sections one and two are required for new schedule builders. Attendees will learn to enter the course schedule and view information using Banner 9, Self-Service and WSU Reporting.

A request for access to schedule-building and registration in myTraining are both required. The employee’s supervisor must first submit a request for access and approval for their employee to attend the training to stusecurityaccess@wichita.edu prior to registration. The employee can then register for the upcoming sessions posted in myTraining. myTraining can be found by logging in to myWSU > myTraining.  Lab spaces are limited and restricted to new schedule builders only. New schedule-builders are those who have not been through the training previously and will be building the upcoming schedule. This is a reminder that schedule building for term 202220 (spring 2022) will be open until 5 p.m. Friday, Sept.3. The last schedule-building lab for the term is 9 a.m. Sept. 3 offered at Jabara Hall Room  (room 122).

Schedule-building training is coming soon, and we want to make sure that your department is prepared. If you have a new schedule builder who needs training, please note that a request for access must be submitted and approved by the Office of the Registrar prior to registering for the training.

The Schedule Builder’s supervisor must email a request for access to stusecurityaccess@wichita.edu.

Please include the following information in your request for access:

  • Employee name
  • myWSU ID
  • Department, subjects they are building for, if different than the department

If your department is currently without a schedule builder, please notify stusecurityaccess@wichita.edu so that the necessary arrangements can be made for the schedule with ample time. If you are a department chair who wants to schedule building access, you can simply sign up once the training is available.
