Parking Services is looking to hire a second shift parking dispatcher. The dispatcher will be responsible for transmitting and receiving communication regarding parking complaints, law enforcement and public safety. The candidate will monitor, document and report all activity received. Duties include:

  • Answering incoming communications for all parking related matters.
  • Transmitting or communicating information to appropriate non-emergency and emergency staff.
  • Maintaining accurate law enforcement records, incident documentation, and officer location and activity status in accordance with federal, state and local laws, regulations and university policy.
  • Processing parking enforcement requests to check for ePermits, parking permissions, etc.
  • Processing law enforcement requests to check for warrants, driver status, previous convictions and criminal history.

Please note that this is a second shift position.

A new parking ePermit has been created specifically for Shocker Hall residents for the upcoming school year. These ePermits run $75 per semester and are on sale now both online in your parking portal with a credit or debit card or in person at Parking Services with cash or check (you can visit the inside lobby or the drive thru). This ePermit will allow Shocker Hall residents to park in all student parking lots with the exception of lots 1, 2W, 2N, 2E and 22.

Parking garage at Wichita State

The parking garage add-on ePermit for fall 2024 will go on sale at 8:30 a.m. Monday, July 1. Any current ePermit holder is eligible to purchase this add-on for $50. The add-on will allow ePermit holders to park on floor two, the ramp to three, floor three and the ramp to four without having to pay the hourly rate.

This ePermit is for sale in person at the Parking Services building, in person in the lobby or in the drive thru on the north side of the building. Payment is to be with cash or check only and a limited amount of these ePermits will be made available. You must have a current ePermit on file or you will be required to buy one at the time of the add-on purchase.

Mike Oatman Drive, between Eck Stadium and the Marcus Welcome Center, will be closed for road construction starting Monday, July 1. The road is expected to re-open later in the month.
