The lobby and drive through at Parking Services will be closed on Wednesday, July 9 and July 10 for staff professional development. The lobby and drive through will reopen at 8:30 a.m. Friday, July 11.

Summer parking enforcement will operate as usual during this time.

The parking garage south of the Rhatigan Student Center will be closed all day Wednesday, July 2 for maintenance and cleaning. Red stall owners will be contacted to let them know when they will need to park elsewhere during this time.

Parking garage at Wichita State

The parking garage add-on ePermit for fall 2025 will go on sale at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 1. Any current ePermit holder is eligible to purchase this add-on for $50. The add-on will allow ePermit holders to park on floor two, the ramp to three, floor three and the ramp to four without having to pay the hourly rate through Dec. 31.

This ePermit is for sale in person at the Parking Services building lobby or in the drive thru on the north side of the building. Payment is to be with cash or check only and a limited amount of these ePermits will be made available. You must have a current ePermit on file or you will be required to buy one at the time of the add-on purchase.

Lot 18, south of Brennan Hall III, will close Friday, June 20 due to building demolition. Lot 17, west of Brennan Hall I, will close July 21. This is a permanent closure for both lots. All vehicles must be removed by the dates indicated. Questions on the demolition can be directed to Facilities Planning.

As a reminder, all green student lots are open and free for parking in the summer. All other lots are still subject to enforcement.

WSU will host participants and attendees for state baseball, state softball and state track events starting Thursday, May 29 through Saturday, May 31. These events bring a large amount of visitors to campus and parking will be congested across campus.

Additionally the 2025 Master Gardener Tour will take place near the President’s Residence and Woolsey Hall starting Friday, May 30 through Sunday, June 1. Attendance is expected to be high for this event as well.

Faculty, staff, students and partners are encouraged to plan accordingly and arrive early if they come to campus during this time frame. Summer parking will be in effect at this time; unless noted with signage, all green lots will be free and open parking.

For the Tuesday, Jan. 14 Shocker men’s basketball game, a number of lots in the vicinity of Charles Koch Arena will be reserved for Shocker Athletic Scholarship Organization parking beginning at 3:30 p.m. During this time, signage will be in place alerting drivers of the impending lot assignment changes.

Anyone previously parked in these lots will need to move their cars by 3:30 p.m. Any unauthorized parking in a game day lot carries a $50 citation fine.
