After you’ve voted, it will be time to celebrate your civic involvement. Join the Shockers Vote Coalition as we celebrate Election Day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 8 on the North Patio of the RSC. Get free food and t-shirts while supplies last.

Join the SEAL office from March 13-18 for an Alternative Spring Break trip in Wilmington, North Carolina. Alternative Breaks invite students to spend time learning about a specific area and then travel to that area over spring break to participate in a series of volunteer activities that complement their studies.

The trip cost this year is $210 and covers airfare, food, lodging and all program costs. Students must fill out an application and be selected to join the program.

Alternative Spring Breaks provide students with an opportunity to study and learn about a specific region, its culture, demographics and the unique needs of the area.

For spring 2023, WSU will be taking a trip to Wilmington, North Carolina, March 13-18, 2023, to assist with storm recovery and work on projects related to water and environmental sustainability.

To learn more about how to apply, attend and information session. The information sessions will provide students with details about the seminar and trip logistics. Informational sessions will be held at the following times and dates at 245 Rhatigan Student Center:

• Noon-1p.m. Sept. 26
• 5:30-6:30 p.m. Oct. 24
• Noon-1 p.m. Nov. 14

Join Wichita State’s Community Service Board (CSB) and learn about different ways to get involved in the community 3:30-5 p.m. Thursdays at 142 Rhatigan Student Center. The weekly meetings allow guests to learn about volunteer opportunities, participate in or tour nonprofits and participate in service projects.

As we head into another election year, the Shockers Vote Coalition invites students, faculty and staff to join Wichita State’s Shockers Vote campaign. The coalition helps plan voter registration drives, deliberate dialogue initiatives and other events together for the upcoming election cycle. All events are nonpartisan and everyone is welcome to join and to participate.
