Barb Myers, administrative specialist in the Department of Art, Design and Creative Industries, and Dr. Matt Howland, assistant professor in the Department of Anthropology, have collaborated on a project to document and preserve graves and grave markers at Highland Cemetery, the oldest cemetery in Wichita.
Myers and Howland are working with researchers from the Kansas Geological Survey to survey the ground to identify unmarked graves. The project is supported by a grant from the National Science Foundation EPSCoR program.
