The Philosophy Department’s Distinguished Speaker presents Dr. Deborah Boyle, professor of philosophy at the College of Charleston. Boyle will host two talks on 19th century Scottish women philosophers: 3:30-5 p.m. Thursday, March 23 in 100 Lindquist Hall: “Mary Shepherd’s Causal Principles and Divine Causation.” 3:30-5 p.m. Friday, March 24 in 100 Lindquist Hall: “Sympathetic Curiosity: Joanna Baillie’s Account and Elizabeth Hamilton’s Critique.”
