Good Neighbor Week events: Walk Red Bud Trail at Neighborhood Walk Sept. 25

Good Neighbor Week is Sept. 25-Oct. 1. The week provides Shocker Nation an opportunity to elevate and celebrate good neighboring practices while encouraging a healthy lifestyle. During the week, look here for neighboring tips, benefits and events which will be shared throughout the week.

To kick off Wichita State’s second annual Good Neighbor Week, the Office of Engagement and Shocker Neighborhood Coalition has partnered with 3 Keys Fitness, Wichita Habitat for Humanity, Facts Not Fear, and Atwater Resource Center to bring neighborhood businesses, organizations, student groups, and residents together for a three-mile neighborhood walk along the Redbud Trail beginning at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 25 beginning at the trailhead at 17th and Oliver.

Participants can park their vehicles at the John Bardo Center parking lot. Water will be provided. After the walk, a health literacy presentation discussing healthy habits will talk place and giveaways will be offered at John Bardo Center.
