Women of Wichita State University (WWSU) will host a membership drive from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10 at the President’s Residence. Light appetizers will be available. Members will also be modeling clothing from Chico’s.
WWSU’s purpose is to serve the university by providing student scholarships. It is dedicated to promoting the personal growth of its members through social interaction and fostering a sense of community through fellowship and the spirit of friendliness. Annual dues are $12.
Membership of WWSU is available to all female-identifying persons who meet any of the following conditions and who pay annual dues:
- Current faculty, administrative, unclassified professional, university support staff and auxiliary employees of Wichita State.
- Spouses of Wichita State faculty, administrative, unclassified professional (UP) and university support staff (USS).
- Retirees and WWSU members whose active connection with the university has ended but who wish to retain or renew their membership are also eligible.
Activities are planned throughout the year and include Lunch and Learns, social events, fundraisers, a book club and more.
