Wichita State’s Association Election Commission announced the kick-off of the 2023 general election season. Students interested in joining the Student Government Association (SGA) can now declare themselves a candidate in the 2023 elections.

SGA offers students an opportunity to give back to the campus and to allow their leadership skills to shine. To declare candidacy, visit WSU’s Elections Welcome website. Applications are due by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22.

The Wichita State SGA is the governing entity for the student experience at the university. SGA is charged with promoting and stimulating student participation in the university’s activities and providing an official channel of communication between the students, faculty, staff and administration.
