The Faculty Senate meeting will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 23. The new meeting location is 110A Woolsey Hall and will also be available on Zoom.

Senators have been sent the meeting information. Faculty Senate is held on the second and fourth Mondays of each month.

The Faculty Senate has two university at-large seats open for nominations to serve a two-year term starting in the 2023-24 academic year.

University at-large senators represent the faculty of the entire university, not just a specific college or division. The senate meets from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on the second and fourth Mondays of the month during the regular academic year.

All faculty are eligible for nomination, including current senators whose term expires this year.  Submit your nominations to Lee Ann Birdwell at leeann.birdwell@wichita.edu by 5 p.m. on Feb. 3.  Self-nominations are strongly encouraged.

The next University Staff Senate meeting is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Jan. 17 via Zoom. All USS meetings are open to the Wichita State campus community.

The topic is tentatively an introduction and first read of the General Education Transfer Policy update per new KBOR requirements.
