The next University Staff Senate meeting is schedule for 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 24 at the Rhatigan Student Center (room 305).

All USS meetings are open to the Wichita State campus community. 

With just a few weeks until the start of the fall 2021 session, Wichita State University’s Student Senate has some vacancies to fill. The denate is looking for passionate students to advocate on behalf of their peers on issues both on and off campus. The following position are open:

• Applied dtudies senator (three seats open)
• At-large senator (three seats open)
• Business senator (one seat open)
• Health professions senator (two seats open)
• International senator (one seat open)
• Liberal srts and dciences senator (one seat open)
• Underserved senator (three seats open)

Wichita State’s Graduate Student Council (GSC) is excited to welcome students back to a new school year and to invite graduate students to be a part of the council. 

All nominations are due Sept. 3. Self-nominating is acceptable. If you wish to nominate a peer, it is recommended that you speak with the person before filling out the nomination form. When you are ready, please fill out the nomination declaration form.

The August University Staff Senate meeting will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 3 at the Rhatigan Student Center (room 142.) The meeting is open to the Wichita State University campus community.

It’s been a great year on our UP and USS Senates. Even though we were unable to gather in person regularly, we accomplished many things in a virtual environment. We are excited to share our newsletter highlighting the hard work of the 2020-2021 UP and USS Senates.

The UP and USS Senates will hold their last joint meeting 9:30-11 a.m. June 15 at the RSC 142 (Harvest Room). Meetings are open to the campus community. Beginning July 1, the two senates will officially merge to become the University Staff Senate.
