At WSU, we believe in the importance of creating a safe and healthy environment for all of our community members. To that end, we have partnered with Catharsis to provide Title IX & Civil Rights Training. This training is highly interactive and engaging, and is based on research around best practices for healthy communities. As you complete your training, we invite you to reach out to the many referenced resources in order to join the larger discussion of these topics on our campus.

What is the duration of the training?
The duration of the training is approximately 40 minutes for employees, 40 minutes for graduate students and athletes, and approximately 45-60 minutes for undergraduate students.

When is the training deadline?
March 1, 2024

How do I access the training?
You can access the training through the Office of Civil Rights, Title IX & ADA Compliance (CTAC) website (wichita.edu/ctac) under 2023-2024 Annual Title IX & Civil Rights Compliance Training.

If you are required to complete the training, it will appear in your myWSU profile. Please follow the steps below to access the training.

How do I access the training?
To access your Title IX Training please log into myWSU, click on the “Home” tab, and then look for the “Title IX Training” channel on the left column of the portal. If you have been assigned training you will find a link to your training there.

Faculty and staff at Wichita State University are required to complete mandatory training on preventing harassment and discrimination. The deadline has been extended to Friday, April 7.

You can access the training two ways:

• Go to myWSU under the Faculty/Staff tab, scroll down to “Employee Required Training” and click on Preventing Harassment and Discrimination Training.
• Open the email with subject line Vector LMS, Higher Education Edition Online Training, which was sent to all faculty/staff email addresses. Note: The email might say April 27 is the deadline, but April 7 is the correct deadline.

If you have not completed the training, it is very important that you do so. If you have already taken the training this academic year and see your name on a list that says you haven’t completed it, please disregard. If you have any questions regarding the status of your training completion, contact Courtney McHenry at courtney.mchenry@wichita.edu.

This prevention training, which is led through WSU’s Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance, is not only important in making our campus a welcoming and equitable environment, but it’s also important for Title IX compliance. If you have completed your training, thank you for helping us make real progress in making our campus safe, inclusive and equitable.

University supervisors should follow up with their employees to ensure that they are completing the training by the deadline. Supervisors are expected to work with employees needing accommodations or extensions as necessary.

The Graduate School is partnering with the Academic Resources Conference to present GTA Training from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17 in the Santa Fe Room (RSC 233) of the Rhatigan Student Center. Check-in starts at 8:30 a.m.
