To enhance the hiring experience and ensure compliance, training is required for all WSU WuHire users in hiring manager and department admin roles.

Access requirements

Users who do not complete the training will not be able to:

• Create job postings
• Move candidates through the hiring process
• Create offers in WuHire

New to the role?

If you or your team members are newly assigned to hiring manager or department admin roles, training is required before access is granted.

Who’s exempt?

Training is not required for:

• Search chairs
• Search committee members
• Approvers

Unless they also initiate or manage hiring actions in WuHire.

• Each class is limited to 20 participants
• Next classes are Oct. 29 and Nov. 10

Starting in October 2025, a new research security training will be required for all personnel participating on sponsored awards at WSU. This is a series of three short training courses developed by WSU, that ensures compliance with the National Security Presidential Memorandum 33 (NSPM-33) and the CHIPS and Science Act of 2022. These trainings will provide you with valuable information about how to safeguard yourself, your research and WSU from individuals trying to impact our research ecosystem.

You will be contacted via email in the near future if you are required to take the training.

This training is highly interactive and engaging and is based on research around best practices for healthy communities. How do I access the training?
If you do not see the notification in your myWSU profile, you can access the training through the Office of Civil Rights, Title IX & ADA Compliance (CTAC) website (wichita.edu/ctac). Scroll down to “2025-2026 Title IX & Civil Rights Compliance Training” and select your training. Only select the training that applies to you.

How do I know if I’ve completed the training?
In myWSU, got to the “Home” tab and look under “Title IX Training.” If you have completed the training already, it should tell you your completion time and date.

Staff must complete training by Aug. 1, and faculty by Aug. 29. Any users not meeting this requirement will lose access to create jobs, move candidates or create offers in WuHire. Users who completed training after Oct. 7, 2024 have met this requirement. You can check your training completion on your transcript in myTraining.

The training does not apply to search chairs, search committee members or approvers unless they also initiate or manage hiring actions in the system.

Weekly training is available, with a maximum of 20 participants per training. Classes are scheduled in myTraining.
