Duane Nagel

The W. Frank Barton School of Business has selected Dr. Duane Nagel as chair for the college’s marketing department. Nagel has worked within the Barton School for more than six years as an assistant and associate professor.

His academic research examines how brands engage and co-create/collaborate with their various stakeholders through technology. Currently, Nagel is working on projects that focus on how brands can leverage new tools such as virtual influencers, AR/VR/Mixed Reality, and the coming metaverse to engage consumers and support brand objectives.

Dr. Chelsea Redger-Marquardt has accepted a promotion to assistant dean in the Cohen Honors College and tenure-track assistant professor of organizational leadership and learning in the College of Applied Studies effective fall 2022.

Her role in honors will include her current teaching and administrative responsibilities in the areas of leadership and service-learning. In addition, she will support transition-to-college and retention programming, such as ePortfolios, and support college assessment, program evaluation design, delivery and analysis. Within the CAS, Dr. Redger-Marquardt will continue to serve on the college’s leadership team in addition to her other faculty responsibilities.
