The Heskett Center is participating in Mark Wahlberg Week for its F45 classes, a week of exclusive workouts made for anyone and everyone Oct. 2-8.

During the week, Campus Recreation will offer these classes at no additional charge. Grab a friend and join F45 to see the seven brand new workouts. Reserve a spot through the WSU Campus Recreation app.

Campus Recreation has updated its Shocker Fit schedule to fit the adjusted summer hours of the Heskett Center. Classes will be held Monday through Friday now until Aug. 4.

Classes are available to Heskett members at no additional charge and there is a small fee for non-members. Sign up for any of the classes through the WSU Campus Rec app on GooglePlay or the Apple Store.

Tai Chi by Matthew Moors. Heskett Center Room 141 Feb. 6 | 4 p.m. 45 minute class

Tai Chi is a Chinese martial art that is often practiced as a gentle form of exercise to improve flexibility, balance and strength. The class, instructed by Matthew Moors, is designed to help participants slow down, clear their minds and challenge their coordination as they learn some new moves.

The class will be held from 4 to 4:45 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6 in 141 Heskett Center.

Check out Wichita State’s GlideFit classes at the Heskett Center. GlideFit is an aqua fitness class that uses floating mats to ensure a full body workout. GlideFit classes are available at the following times:
  • Noon – Monday, Wednesday and Friday
  • 5:30 p.m. – Tuesday and Thursday

GlideFit involves yoga, high intensity interval training, core strength and cool down exercises.
