"Notes From a Young Black Chef" is a memoir about a young man from the Bronx projects and his path to opening an elite restaurant in Washington, D.C.

July 29, 2022 — Wichita State Staff Senate is supporting neighboring schools and the Wichita community by collecting school supplies for local youth organizations. All donations must be submitted by Aug. 10. The donations will go to two businesses: ICT Launchpad, a youth organization, and 3 Keys Fitness, a business that has partnered with local youth group Equity Initiative.

Literary Feast is KMUW's monthly book club, featuring selections made by KMUW staff. For August, the staff has selected "River of the Gods: Genius, Courage, and Betrayal in the Search for the Source of the Nile" by Candice Millard.
