Spooktacular. Celebrate Halloween with CHP

Get ready for a Spooktacular Halloween extravaganza from the College of Health Professions (CHP) during CHP Week. Join CHP from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26 in the Ahlberg Hall main lobby for a hauntingly fun event filled with pumpkin painting, a photo booth, eerie decorations and ghoulish delights.

In celebration of National Vote Early Day, the Shockers Vote! Coalition will host a trivia game from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26 in 142 Rhatigan Student Center.

Prizes will be awarded for the winners of the game, and all game participants will receive a 2023 Shockers Vote T-shirt. Food will be available as supplies last. While attending, participants will be invited to leave a note on the interactive art exhibit saying why voting is important to them.

Join Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) for Mindfulness and Meditation at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25 on Facebook Live through the CAPS Facebook account.

Mindfulness is focusing one’s awareness on the present moment by intentionally noticing thoughts, feelings and bodily sensations without any judgement. The sessions offer various meditation exercises designed to develop mindfulness and promote holistic wellness.

Future sessions will be held in person in 240 Rhatigan Student Center, Mayfield Room on Nov. 1, Nov. 15, Nov. 29 and Dec. 13 and on Facebook Live on Oct. 25, Nov. 8, Nov. 22 and Dec. 6.
