Thinking Like a Researcher Your Daily Life October 13, 12:30-2:00 PM Rhatigan Student Center Pike Room #266

Gathering data, creating and testing hypotheses, and making data-based decisions are all things students learn in their programs of study; but these habits can have value well beyond the classroom and laboratory. In fact, these scientific habits of mind can support each of us in our personal lives as well.

Join the Graduate School with presenter Dr. Carolyn Speer at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 13 in the Pike Room (266) of the RSC for “Thinking Like a Researcher in your Daily Life,” a practical session that will introduce the idea of applying the scientific method to life’s daily questions and provide you with some practical advice about how to think like a researcher to improve your own life.

Pull a Plane

On Saturday, Oct. 16, the WSU Tech Foundation and B-29 Doc are partnering to bring you Wichita’s first ever Pull a Plane event, a fundraiser featuring the ultimate tug-of-war competition — people against a plane. Pull a Plane is a family friendly event that’s open to the public. Anyone is welcome to attend to witness the event firsthand while cheering on their friends and family. Public admission will be $10 per person or $25 for a family (up to six people). The admission fee grants access to the Pull a Plane event, as well as to the Doc Hangar.

Pull a Plane begins at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 16 at the B-29 Doc Hangar at 1788 S. Airport Road in Wichita.

Join us to see who will be the first to pull Doc to victory!
