Encourage your students to participate in the Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Forum (URCAF) April 15 at the Rhatigan Student Center. This forum provides Wichita State undergraduate students an opportunity to compete for cash awards and to present their scholarly and creative activity to a student, faculty and community audience. Each student’s work at the forum is presented under the mentorship of a WSU faculty member.

The schedule for the forum includes the following:

  • Registration 9-9:30 a.m.
  • Oral Sessions 9:30 a.m.- 1 p.m.
  • Poster Viewing 10 a.m.-noon
  • Performances and Creative Activity Presentations 9:30 a.m.- 11 a.m.
  • Lunch 1-2 p.m.
  • Awards Presentation 2-2:30 p.m.

The Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences (MLS) is hosting an information session at 3 p.m. Friday, March 4 via Zoom. The session will review career opportunities in the MLS profession, an overview of the MLS program at Wichita State, and the application process.

Medical laboratory scientists play an important role in the healthcare system, performing scientific testing on samples to determine appropriate treatment options for patients. The MLS program prepares graduates for a high-demand career as medical laboratory scientists.
