WSU Mortar Board Book Drive from November 6th to November 19th. All donations will go to Minneha Elementary, new or slightly used books preferred. Donate at the Heskett Center, Shocker Hall, Dining Hall, RSC, Ahlberg Hall, Ablah Library, and the Writing Center.

The WSU Mortar Board Senior Honor Society has a book drive from November 6-19. The philanthropy is Reading is Leading, and the group will donate new or slightly used books for pre-K to fifth-grade students at Minneha Elementary in Wichita. Donation box locations are the Heskett Center, Shocker Hall, Dining Hall, RSC, Ahlberg Hall, Ablah Library, and the Writing Center.

Common Ground Producers and Growers is partnering with Wichita State and community vendors to bring you First Friday at Paradise Church, 4401 East 17th Street North in Wichita. This event will be an indoor and outdoor event from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on the first Friday of every month through February 2023.

There will be fresh produce, entertainment, food from You Kall It Catering and fun. Please come out and support your local vendors.

The Office of Engagement recently convened with the Sedgwick County Health Department at the Marcus Welcome Center to hear the key findings from the 2022 Community Health Assessment (CHA) and to introduce health equity and how it relates to the CHA.

The second part of these efforts is to hear from community partners to set priorities for a healthier Sedgwick County at the Sedgwick County Extension Office- 7001 W. 21st St.
