Sun Young Lee, Assistant Professor in the School of Education, was recognized with 2025 Early Career Award from the American Educational Research Association’s Critical Issues in Curriculum and Cultural Studies.

Cheryl Miller, Senior Assistant Dean for Academic and Staff Operations in the Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, was recognized with third place – “Publications Regularly Written by Entrant,” Fairmount College Newsletter, Spring 2024; third place – “Personality Profile,” Fairmount College Newsletter, Fall 2024; honorable mention – “Publication Regularly Edited by Entrant,” Fairmount College Newsletter, Fall 2024.

Dr. Stephen Lewia, Assistant Professor and Director of Clinical Education – Department of Physician Associate, was appointed as the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) liaison to the American Medical Association (AMA).

Gina Brown, Associate Professor – Department of Physician Associate, was recognized with became certified in Diagnostic Obstetrical Ultrasound from Burwin Institute.

Dr. Linda Moody, Associate Teaching Professor – Department of Public Health Sciences, was recognized with 2025 Health Care Heroes from Wichita Business Journal.

Wichita State University Physician Associate Program was recognized with 2025 Health Care Heroes award from Wichita Business Journal.

Dr. Jennifer James, Assistant Teaching Professor – Department of Physical Therapy, was recognized with Dually certification in both Pediatric and Neurologic Physical Therapy from American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists.

Dr. Voncella McCleary-Jones, Associate Dean for Academic, Faculty and Student Affairs – College of Health Professions Dean’s Office, was selected to serve as a reviewer of nursing programs, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
