Join the RSC Shocker Store from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14 for an evening with Dr. Daniel Bergman, author of “Teaching is for Superheroes.”

Dr. Bergman is a professor and program chair of science education at Wichita State and currently works with students and teachers from kindergarten all the way to graduate school. Enjoy chatting with the author and hearing excerpts from the book and gain teaching insights, tips,and advice in an entertaining, superhero-inspired format.

Visit the Shocker Sports Grill & Lanes on Saturdays to take advantage of its rent-a-lane special. Up to six people can bowl for an hour for $29.95, and shoes are included.

Students, faculty, staff and campus affiliates/partners can enjoy deals and freebies from RSC’s departments. Attendees must show a Shocker ID.

The Rhatigan Student Center and its departments will close Sunday, Sept. 3 and Monday, Sept. 4 for Labor Day. Regular hours of operation can be found online.

Did you know the Rhatigan Student Center offers a daily study room for students? Each day, the RSC designates an open meeting room as the official study room of the day.

The room will be unlocked and open to students to come and go as they please to study all day. The rooms are supposed to be a quiet, shared space. Check out the RSC’s Instagram stories daily to find out which room is the study room.

Join the Rhatigan Student Center for its live music series, Monday Melodies, with JMichael from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28 in the Starbucks Lounge.

The RSC hosts Monday Melodies on the last Monday of every month.

Turn the lights down and the music up for some cosmic bowling from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday nights at the Shocker Sports Grill & Lanes.

Standard bowling rates apply, and the nights are open to the public.
