Visit the Shocker Sports Grill & Lanes in May to try its Pizza of the Month, Pisa Pizza Al Funghi. It’s topped with tomato sauce, roasted garlic spread, grilled button, crimini and portobello mushrooms, Italian sausage, smoked gouda, mozzarella, Romano and parmesan cheeses.

Students, bring in your gently used textbooks and get cash during textbook buyback at the Shocker Store. Buyback will be during normal operating hours May 6-11 in the Rhatigan Student Center store.

For the 11th time, the Shocker women’s bowling team brought home a national championship, and freshman Sara Duque of the women’s team also won the singles national championship. Come celebrate with Sara and the women’s team from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 30 in the east atrium at the Rhatigan Student Center.

The Shockers now have 24 national championships. The teams competed last week in Louisville, Kentucky. This is a come and go celebration and opportunity to congratulate the student athletes. There will be cookies, drinks and a photo booth.

Join the Rhatigan Student Center for its live music series, Monday Melodies, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, April 29 in the Starbucks Lounge featuring live music from JMichael.

The last Monday of every month, the RSC hosts live music in the building.

Need something to do to take a break from studying for finals? Visit the Shocker Sports Grill & Lanes April 29 through May 3 for De-Stress Fest specials.

All week, enjoy free billiards and $2 bowling games with free shoes. Must show a Shocker ID. Availability may vary due to group reservations and events.

Swing by the Coca-Cola Marvel trailer from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 1 on the north lawn of the Rhatigan Student Center for free samples, Marvel-themed Coca-Cola cans and a photo booth.

The event is part of Student Activities Council’s De-Stress Fest and sponsored by the RSC.

Faculty, there is still time to submit summer and fall 2024 textbook information to the Shocker Store.

Verba Collect is a simplified faculty experience including pre-populated course assignments, easy-to-adopt past adoptions and smart book search. Verba Collect will send out customized emails to faculty and department coordinators with a unique link that logs you into a walkthrough process without any need for username or password. Once you get into Verba Collect, there are four short videos for your perusal showing how to get started, add materials and submit your adoptions. Keep an eye on your email inboxes for an email from Verba.

If you are interested in providing your course materials digitally through the Shocker Store’s Access Now program, where students will access them in Blackboard, select that option in the “Item Questions.” Should you choose to have your courses participate in the program and those courses cross list with another course. please order the same thing for both and note that on your order.

Those planning on using open resource materials can indicate that on their order as well and to flag the course as such and the information can be made available to students.
