Register for Summer Leadership Institute

The Summer Leadership Institute will take place  May 16-19. This overnight retreat immerses participants in personal and professional leadership development opportunities facilitated in small and large groups. All meals, transportation, and lodging are provided free of charge. Topics for the event include the following:

  • Effective communication
  • Emotional intelligence
  • Conflict management
  • Values congruence
  • Ethical leadership
  • Community building

The Summer Leadership Institute can be taken for academic credit and also meets the Engineering Plus Leadership requirement. Applications will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, May.

Accept the challenge: Attend Institute by LeaderShape

Wichita State University will host the Institute by LeaderShape Oct. 8-11 at Rock Springs 4-H Center in Junction City, Kansas. LeaderShape is a nationally recognized organization that facilitates participants through a series of dynamic, challenging and exciting sessions designed to increase, develop and launch the leadership capacity of students.

The retreat immerses participants into a transformative learning environment that challenges them to lead with integrity and motivates them to be a positive force for change in the world. This experience will benefit participants personally and professionally and enhance the communities and organizations that they serve.

Transportation, lodging and meals will be provided for all four days. Applications will be accepted through Sunday, Sept. 26.
