A graduating student moves her tassel with the words "Show your Shocker Pride" in front of the image.

Each year, Wichita State’s graduating class leaves behind their days as Shocker students to begin their journey as Shocker alumni. Giving a graduating class gift of $20.25 marks this occasion with an exclusive zipper pull for commencement regalia in recognition of your generosity. Gifts can be made toward whatever program, scholarship or initiative inspires you.

Together, your class will make a lasting impact on Wichita State and the lives of students just like you for years to come.

WSU Foundation and Alumni Engagement’s third annual Founders’ Day of Giving is nearly here, and WSUFAE can’t wait to see how all of Shocker Nation shows their support. Since it began this tradition in 2022, more than 700 individual donors have given to the colleges, departments, teams and programs they love, and everyone on campus plays an important role in growing impact.

In the next two weeks, explore the giving opportunities on the Founders’ Day homepage, spread the word on social media and consider making a matching gift. Your support makes all the difference.

Wichita State’s Ulrich Museum of Art won’t officially turn 50-years-old until Dec. 7, but the birthday celebration has already begun. First on the museum’s slate of special anniversary exhibitions, programs, events and unveilings is “Fully Dimensional: Artists of the Outdoor Sculpture Collection.”

Elizabeth King arrived on campus as WSU’s youngest vice president in 1991, and she’ll take her leave from the university this year as a Shocker Forever. Working with six WSU presidents throughout her career, she has helped Wichita State attain many achievements that are now part of our institutional history.
