Today is Founders Day. For the next 24 hours, the entire Shocker community is coming together to support Wichita State students, programs, scholarships, research, student organizations and more.

There has never been a better time to make your gift. Many funds across campus have special matches and challenges that can increase the impact of your support.

No matter where you choose to give, your support helps strengthen Wichita State and creates opportunities for current and future Shockers.

Every donor counts. Every gift matters. Every Shocker can make a difference.

Join WSU today and help make this the most impactful Founders Day yet.

Tomorrow, Sept. 17, is Founders Day, Wichita State University’s annual 24-hour day of giving.

For one day only, Shockers everywhere will come together to support the colleges, programs, scholarships, student organizations and initiatives they care about most. Whether you’re passionate about student success, academic excellence, athletics, the arts or any area of campus, Founders Day is your opportunity to make an impact.

This year, many gifts can go even further through special matches and challenges happening throughout the day. Make sure you check them out the day of on the Founders Day page.

Remember: Participation matters. Gifts of any size help create momentum and demonstrate the collective power of the Shocker community.

Mark your calendar, choose the fund you care about and join tomorrow as Shocker Nations celebrates Wichita State’s future together.

Founders Day is on Sept. 17 and just under a month away, and WSU Foundation and Alumni Engagement is excited to feature student groups across campus. If your organization hasn’t signed up yet, there’s still time.

Students who participate can:

  • Promote their group
  • Earn visibility through Founders Day social media and website features
  • Compete in campus challenges
  • Help raise support that directly benefits students

As campus moves into the fall semester, Founders Day is right around the corner on Sept. 17.

WSU Foundation and Alumni Engagement would love your help in spreading the word to colleagues, students, alumni and friends. In the coming days, WSUFAE will send updated graphics, sample language and tools you can use to easily share on your channels.

If you haven’t joined already, consider becoming an ambassador. To guarantee your spot you’ll want to sign up before Sept. 1.

As the WSU Foundation and Alumni Engagement continues preparing for Founders Day Sept. 17, it invites more campus partners to join the Ambassador Team and support your department, scholarship or cause. Ambassadors help make this a campus-wide moment by sharing updates, graphics or messages from their own departments.

You’ll be equipped with:

  • Social templates
  • Graphics and logos
  • Suggested messaging
  • Sample emails

Becoming an ambassador takes minimal time but has huge impact. Don’t have a Foundation Fund? WSUFAE can help you create one as long as you register and request a fund by September 2.

WSU Foundation and Alumni Engagement wants to remind faculty and staff that they can still join the Founders Day Ambassador Team.

Ambassadors help:

  • Share the save-the-date
  • Spread key messages
  • Boost campus participation
  • Showcase programs and student stories

Each year, Founders’ Day highlights student organizations and the work they do on campus. If your group wants to participate this year, now is the time to sign up. Foundation and Alumni Engagement provide:

  • A fundraising page for your group
  • Promotion tools
  • Social media templates
  • Tips for spreading the word

Founders’ Day is one of the most powerful opportunities of the year to lift up programs and students across Wichita State. With your help, the university can continue to build momentum that benefits every corner of campus.

Last year, there were more than 500 new donors who participated thanks to campus-wide amplification and your area could benefit from this result. Becoming an ambassador is an easy way to help. WSU Foundation and Alumni Engagement will provide graphics, templates and messages for you to share.

A quick reminder that the Founders’ Day Ambassador Team is looking for new members.

Last year, ambassadors helped drive some of the strongest Founders’ Day outcomes, including:

  • A $2,000 student challenge that inspired nearly $37,000 in giving to student groups
  • An Applied Studies Advisory Board match that produced a 558% increase for the Life Happens Fund
  • Funds raised for areas all across campus

These are great examples of how a little sharing goes a long way.

Becoming an ambassador is simple: Sign up your department, group or cause.

Wichita State’s Founders Day is coming up on Sept. 17, and organizers are excited to begin building the Ambassador Team for this year’s campaign. Ambassadors play a key role in helping spread the word about giving opportunities, student stories, matches and challenges that make a real impact across campus.

Why become an ambassador?

  • You can help your program by bringing in new donations and new donors
  • It takes only a few minutes to share posts or forward messages.
  • You help elevate the visibility of your department, student group or program.

If you’re interested in helping build excitement and awareness, sign up to be an ambassador.
