Student Wellness Center (Student Health, Counseling and Psychological Services, and HOPE Services) staff will have all-day professional development Friday, Oct. 24.

The Student Wellness Center will resume normal hours at 8 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27. Appointments can still be made through the online portals. Naloxone Administration Training. Naloxone is a life saving medication that can reverse an overdose from opioids. Oct 28th 10am - 12pm RSC 265. Various medical objects and a first aid kit.

Naloxone is a life-saving medication that can reverse an overdose from opioids. Health, Outreach, Prevention and Education (HOPE) Services is presenting DCCCA’s one-hour naloxone administration course from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Oct. 28 the WSU community to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to identify and respond to an overdose crisis using naloxone and other available resources.

Students can sign up for trainings on the website and staff and faculty can register via MyTraining.

The purple mile, 10th anniversary! Saturday, October 4th, 9am - 11am at the RSC. After party at social tap.

The Purple Mile Annual Domestic Violence Memorial and Awareness Walk and Social Service Fair is from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4 on campus starting at the north side of the Rhatigan Student Center. For the 10th anniversary, join organizers in remembering those impacted by dating/domestic violence in the community over the last decade, learn about resources and connect with others over light refreshments and art.

For those who wish to participate, a one mile walk on campus follows this year’s guest speakers. You can also join afterwards at Social Tap Drinkery in Braeburn Square, where Social Tap is donating 5% of their proceeds to Wichita Family Crisis Center and Harbor House.

The event is hosted by the Midwest Criminal Justice Institute, WSU HOPE Services, Wichita Family Crisis Center and Harbor House.
